Pet emergencies may occur at any time of the day or night, and the team at Ruidoso Animal Clinic is prepared to help you in any way we can. If your pet experiences an emergency during business hours, please contact our hospital to notify us of your need. This enables us to clear time to examine and provide care to your pet.

Ruidoso Animal Clinic provides limited after-hours emergency support for existing clients and visitors staying in the Ruidoso area
Please listen carefully to our after-hours voicemail message for current availability and instructions.
Because our facility does not have overnight staffing or continuous patient monitoring, pets requiring emergency treatment outside of our after-hours availability should be seen at a 24-hour emergency hospital where hospitalization, monitoring, and critical care services are available.
If after-hours emergency services are available when you call and your pet is experiencing an urgent medical issue, please leave your name, your pet's name, a brief description of the problem, and the best phone number to reach you. Our on-call veterinarian will return your call as soon as possible.
If after-hours emergency services are not available, or your pet requires immediate medical attention, please contact the Veterinary Emergency Center in El Paso at (915) 545-1148.
If your pet is stable and can safely wait until regular business hours, please leave a message and our team will contact you as soon as possible.
This policy helps ensure pets requiring critical care receive the level of treatment they need while allowing our veterinary team the rest necessary to provide safe, effective care for all of our patients.
